Lost in paradise with Dolce & Gabbana's 'A Midsummer Night Dream'
As usual, while the other high fashion designers introduced Couture collection in Paris, Dolce & Gabbana held the spectacular Alta Moda show autumn 2015 in their own country.
This time the show entitled "A Midsummer Night's Dream" was held on an island in the romantic Ligurian Sea. The pair Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana turned this place into a sweet paradise with romantic scenery, deep natural breath.
The stage was set up like a fairy garden, full of sweet fruits. The models walked out in flowing outfits, like the lovely princesses.
The paradise was brilliantly and mixed with a little strange with the unique "hybridization": grapes on palm trees, watermelons on olive trees, orange trees with chestnuts, up-side-down oak with roots fluttered in the air, red - gray - green foxes, paradise birds, parrots with garish colours. Gabbana also had said humorously before the show that what was real, what was imagined, you would never know.
The gowns were made of silk, gilded, covered sequin, embroidery or hand painted meticulously and delicately. The brand represents the pinnacle design capabilities, not inferior to the cult Couture fashion designers.
The Italy fashion brand offered their audiences a sumptuous fashion party. The designs are unique, both made by manually methods by skilled craftsmen.
"A Midsummer Night's Dream" was a mixture of many romantic inspirations as Dante, Homer, Lewis Carroll and Shakespeare.
Stefano Gabbana had said that it was the fault of fashion system so nobody told stories. Therefore, the designers always brought to their show deep stories, sent meaning and "storytelling" through dresses, recorded unforgettable imprint on the audiences.
The show was held in two nights. The second night also introduced the male fashion designs. This was rare that designers unveiled men fashion in Alta Moda show.
